The ultimate aim of Feng Shui is to live in harmony with your environment so that the energy surrounding you works for you rather than against you.

What is Feng Shui?

Meaning of Feng Shui

Feng Shui translated literally means 'Wind' & 'Water' and is the Chinese art of understanding how qi (pronounced "chee" - life force energy) moves in our surroundings and how our buildings, their interiors, and our environment affects us. Feng Shui is classified as one of the five Chinese Arts known collectively as Chinese Metaphysics.

True Feng Shui is not based on religion or superstition but involves calculations to determine the qi that affects a building in order to see how that qi affects the lives of the inhabitants. Using the Lo Pan (Feng Shui Compass), the Feng Shui Practitioner can make the calculations and suggest ways to enhance the useful, positive qi and control, modify or avoid the negative qi.

Qi exists in our buildings and the surrounding environment whether we believe in it or not, it is an unseen energy that affects our lives, like sunshine. The techniques used in Feng Shui reveal how the qi affects us and how we can best use it for our benefit, to help specific aspects of our everyday lives.

Understanding the Feng Shui in your surroundings will enable you to improve various aspects of your life.
